Course Overview

Our master's in Social Work will help you to develop the skills and resilience to meet challenging roles. You will learn how to advise and support people at times of difficulty and deal with a wide range of problems. We offer a variety of inspiring and motivating learning activities led by academics, expert practitioners, and service users. This involves the opportunity to learn with students from other health and social care disciplines. By the end of the course, you will have developed your skills in line with Knowledge and Skills Statements for either adults or children and families social work.

General Eligibility

A good honors degree (2:2 or above) from a UK university or an equivalent qualification GCSE English and mathematics at grade C or above, or equivalent A minimum of one year's full-time or part-time experienced or equivalent in social care or advocacy-related activity, either paid or voluntary.

Language Requirement

  • Students who do not have English as their first language will be required to demonstrate an IELTS score of 7 (with a minimum of 6.5 in each skill) or an equivalent rating in another Secure English Language test.
