You'll acquire and demonstrate core knowledge and understanding of the scientific disciplines of bioscience €“ and at the same time, you'll acquire and apply skills such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and application in the context of bioscience. You will learn through practical examples, demonstrations, and active practice in workshop situations, classes, laboratory experimentation, work placements, and fieldwork. Work placement experiences can either be with a student's existing employer or with an organization participating in the program. Other skills such as English, maths, and IT are developed throughout the course, for example, the Bio measurement module develops maths and IT skills. This course follows the core modules of the BSc (Hons) Bioscience degree to which you can progress.
All applicants must have GCSE English, Maths, and Science at grade C or above (or equivalent). 64 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent level 3 qualification, e.g. Extended Diploma (MPP) or successful completion of Access to Science and Nursing course.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognized by Anglia Ruskin University.
