Diploma in Medical Coding

Course Overview

As a Herzing student, you will:

• Have a choice to focus on Inpatient Coding or Outpatient Coding

• Gain hands-on training using actual medical records

• Be prepared for the Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) examination from the American Health Information Management Association.

• Learn medical coding from industry-experienced faculty who are committed to your success

General Eligibility

Enrollment requirements for the Herzing University Medical Coding diploma program include the following:

1. Hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

2. Achieve the minimum score on one of several options for entrance testing, including the Wonderlic, ACT, or SAT

3. Meet with a Herzing admissions advisor

4. Fill out an enrollment application
