Return to Practice (RTP) Nursing

... United Kingdom
... University of Chester (Warrington)

Course Overview

The University of Chester and local NHS Trusts have worked together closely to develop an innovative Return to Practice course, which aims to recognize the value and experience of previously registered nurses while addressing the barriers returning to practice students typically face. There is a strong emphasis on flexibility in placements and nursing placement preferences obtained during your initial interview, which aim to enable you to gain tailored clinical experience which reflects your personal experience and choice. The University uses a team approach to support students returning to academic work by nominating dedicated administrative staff, timetabling support sessions with the subject librarian, and learning support services. The Academic Course Leader has an open-door policy as well as scheduled tutorials.
