Course Overview
Come and study our degree program in the unique historic city of Chester, bordering North Wales and situated in North West England to explore local-global connections from the Roman, Medieval, Early Modern, and Modern periods. In short, we offer €˜A Global History in One City.
Work as a historian and produce material for public consumption. During the second year of the degree, our students have worked directly with history and heritage organizations €“ ranging from BBC History Magazine to the National Trust €“ to produce walking tours, historic pamphlets, digital apps, and public exhibitions.
Develop skills that set you up for a future career. Our dissertation students work with original material from local, national, and international archives to produce outstanding research projects. Our partnerships extend to other third-party sectors to give students the experience of heritage and education, thereby setting up students for future MA, PGCE, or graduate scheme pathways.
