During this course, you will learn the core subjects of an Economics degree, including micro and macroeconomics, with examples and applications for day-to-day life, giving attention to the historical, social, political, and international contexts that influence the development of modern economics. Our Economics degree is run by a very experienced Department of Social and Political Science. It reinforces the vision of economics as a major social science that influences others and considers the different contexts and fields that Economics is related to. As this is a dynamic course, it is continuously evolving, and participatory activities and the use of the latest technologies will help to enhance your employability.
Typical Entry 112 UCAS points GCE A Level 112 UCAS points from GCE A-Levels or equivalent. Typical offer - BCC/BBC. The Department requires one of the following subjects as essential for entry: GCE A Level: Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Social Science, World Development, Applied Science. Other social science subjects may be considered.
