Unique opportunities to learn how to teach Chemistry in a newly refreshed course. We place an emphasis on experiential learning, where trainees undertake a wide range of activities then get the opportunity to plan how to deliver these in the classroom. Ensuring each activity is directly transferable to secondary teaching helps trainees to develop their confidence in content delivery. The course is enhanced by continued support from the scientific professional bodies; the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Institute of Physics, and the Royal Society of Biology. Strong applicants are encouraged to apply for an RSC scholarship. Chemistry trainees also benefit from the University of Worcester being an RSC €˜Learn Chemistry Partnership Advocate.
The honors degree normally (2:2) of the United Kingdom higher education institution or equivalent qualification, in a science-related subject or (where the degree is not science-based) a top-up Science qualification. Applicants with a 3rd class degree will be considered on an individual basis.
