Our Geography with International Year Abroad program provides you with an exciting opportunity to study abroad with one of our International Partners. This four-year program has the same structure as our BSc Geography course, but you will spend your third year studying Geography at an English-speaking university and return to Worcester for your fourth and final year. Study abroad locations include a range of European countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, and the USA. You will be hosted by a partner university and you will be able to choose freely from their course offerings in Geography. During your year abroad, you will enjoy the diverse learning opportunities of your host institution and the cultural and travel opportunities offered by your destination.
Our Geography graduates have an excellent track record in gaining employment in a wide range of professions and organizations. On graduating you will have developed a wide range of subject-specific and transferable skills actively sought by employers. These will include the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This course will also prepare you for competitive entry into postgraduate degree programs, professional qualifications, and apprenticeships. Many of our students choose a career in teaching and go on to further study on one of our PGCE courses in Geography here at the University of Worcester.
