Course Overview

Graduates have a variety of skills that make them desirable to potential employers, including hands-on experience of industry-standard equipment and simulation packages, the ability to complete analytical investigative work, and also the opportunity to take up a placement in a sandwich year in the industry. This course offers a balanced program of computer hardware, interface electronics, programming for real-time and embedded systems, and telecommunications - all of which are supported by modules in analysis, software and database design.

General Eligibility

A Level AAB or; BTEC National Diploma DDD or; Access to HE qualifications with 39 Distinctions and 6 Merits including 3 Distinctions in Maths and 3 Merits in Physics or; Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 138 UCAS points Level 3 qualifications must include Maths Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
