Football is one of the most important industries in the UK in terms of interest, participation and consumer spending, and football-related professions need well-rounded, specialist graduates who understand football as a business.
The rapid growth of the football sector has created opportunities to become a sports professional in an expanding, borderless industry. This course focuses on the business of football, exploring areas such as economic impact, investment in facilities, community programmes, marketing and management.
In your first year of study, you gain a wide perspective of the sports industry, exploring sport and physical activity; sport management; and working in sport as well as getting an overview of the football industry. Your later studies focus on areas such as managing elite sport; marketing; finance; and sport in a global context. Throughout, you learn the academic theory related to football, sport and leisure, and apply your knowledge to industry-related scenarios and real-world simulations.
We will consider you as an individual and take into account all elements of your application, not just your qualifications. We are looking for breadth and depth in your current studies and enthusiasm for the subject you wish to study.
