This innovative three-year MSc Midwifery course will enable you to become a highly educated midwife with the potential for management, leadership, consultancy, educational, and research roles. Within the next decade, there will be new challenges and opportunities for midwives to develop their roles as practitioners, partners, and leaders in delivering and shaping future maternity services (Scottish Government, 2017). This course will give you the education and skills to embrace this challenge.
You must:
possess an appropriate Ordinary bachelor's degree in health or science (other disciplines will be considered)
be able to provide an academic reference, as well as copies of your formal university transcript and award certificate
You should also demonstrate competency in literacy and numeracy*; In terms of Scottish qualifications, Maths* should be at least:
SQA National 5 (Grade C, or above) or
SQA Intermediate 2 (Grade C, or above) or
SQA Standard Grade (Credit) or
Alternative, equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
