Train to become a professionally qualified Community Educator with our UWS BA and BA (Hons) Community Education degree. This program is perfect for those already interested in working with young people, adults and communities, to facilitate their critical and social education. Teaching is underpinned by theories and practices relating to youth and community work, equality and social justice, wellbeing, and community empowerment. As a qualifying program approved by CLD Standards Council our graduates move into jobs across a wide range of statutory and voluntary sector youth and community settings. These include community empowerment, health improvement, equality, and human rights work, raising attainment in schools, and work in various charities and social enterprises.
We welcome Scottish, UK, and international students and consider all applicants on an individual basis. Dont worry if your qualifications are not listed here, we take a range of factors into account when assessing your application and are happy to consider other alternative combinations of qualifications and experience.
