Course Overview

As a student in our Product and Furniture Design course, you’ll become a creative and versatile designer, able to develop your ideas into high-quality products.

You’ll learn to think critically about end-use and construction and experiment with various materials to come up with innovative designs. As well as working in more traditional 3D design processes in wood, metal, plastic, and ceramics, you’ll learn and use digital making and CAD design, and develop a strong foundation of experience and knowledge as a maker.

We’ll provide excellent technical support and equip you with the necessary product knowledge, contextual understanding, research, communication, and problem-solving skills for your emerging career.

This hands-on degree addresses the future of design and manufacturing, with a focus on sustainable design, production, and materials.

General Eligibility

• Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

• A Level – Grades BCC

• Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

• Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

• Copy of latest school credentials

• Passport copy

• Emirates ID (if any)

• Visa Page Copy

• Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

• A recognized post-secondary course.

• University preparation (foundation) studies.

• One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results with an overall score of 6.0, a minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
