Course Overview

This Foundation degree program is a work-based program which means you work and learn at the same time. You will develop the effective use of knowledge, skills, and core values that are relevant to future work or study in both social care and social work. This Foundation Degree is designed to prepare people for active participation in the caring field or related career and has been designed with a perspective of practically oriented higher-education which will ensure students are work-ready, employable and which also fully recognizes the importance of the development of students interpersonal skills in this specialist field.

General Eligibility

Grade A*-C/9-4 in English language GSCE or level 2 equivalent level 2 mathematics qualification or recognized equivalent level 3 qualification i.e. NVQ, BTEC National, one A-level or Access to HE Diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject such as health and social care or a level 3 qualification in an unrelated subject area alongside significant experience in a relevant health and/or social care work setting.
