Course Overview

Our Politics course situates the big issues of the day in their historical and philosophical contexts. Youll explore continuity and change in local, national, and global dimensions of politics, and scrutinize political ideas, structures, and approaches that will help you to understand our complex, and ever-changing circumstances. There is a strong emphasis on helping you gain the transferable skills that employers are looking for. Youll develop skills in critical thought and analysis, working as part of a team, networking, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. This will help you to enter roles in a variety of sectors such as national or local government, non-governmental organizations, journalism, or teaching.
