MA Nature and Travel Writing

This course is designed for students who are passionate about writing about nature and travel. You will learn how to craft compelling narratives that capture the beauty and complexity of the natural world, as well as the cultural and historical contexts of travel. Through a combination of creative writing workshops, literary analysis, and fieldwork, you will develop your skills in descriptive writing, storytelling, and place-based writing. Our faculty is composed of experienced writers and educators who are dedicated to helping you hone your craft and achieve your creative potential.

In addition to core coursework, students can choose from a range of electives that allow them to specialize in areas such as outdoor writing, environmental journalism, or travel literature. Recognised Bachelor's degree or higher and evidence of two years of work experience; or successful completion of equivalent courses; or satisfactory preparation for the course through informal or non-formal learning and/or professional experiences subject to the approval of the Academic Chair
