Designed for those with a desire to understand and enhance physical education and sporting experiences for young people, this course will provide the ideal stepping stone for recent graduates wishing to extend or diversify their knowledge, as well as current practitioners working in schools or within the field of youth sport. You will build a critical understanding of the contemporary practice and learn to apply different models and theories to develop your expertise in creating inclusive physical education and youth sport settings. By exploring the diversity of young peoples experiences of PE and youth sport, you will be well-positioned to promote lifelong engagement in physical activity to a range of individuals and communities, which will benefit society as a whole.
Applicants should either have at least a second class honors degree in the cognate subjects of Physical Education or Sport, at least a second class honors degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
IELTS 6.5 with no skills below 6.0, or an equivalent qualification.
