As a health visitor, you will have a crucial role in ensuring that people have the best possible start in life.
This course provides registered nurses and midwives with the opportunity to become specialist community public health visitors on the third part of the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) register.
Combining both theory-based and practice-based learning, you will examine the complexities of delivering health and social care services, especially in relation to professional health visiting. You will develop the confidence and expertise to be able to take on leadership roles, influencing and implementing public health policies that will help children, young people and families improve their life chances.
Applicants should have NMC first level registration (previously known as UKCC parts 1, 2, 7 or 12), at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subject of Health and be able to evidence recent professional development.
