Develop the skillset you will need to work with and support children and young people who are experiencing mental health-related issues. You will gain a critical and in-depth understanding of mental health and its relationship to children, young people, and families within a changing and fluid society. You will learn via lectures and seminars, and workshops will develop your peer-learning networks. Your modules will explore medical and psychological models of practice and will look at a child and adolescent mental health from the position of social intervention. You will learn to draw on key interventions such as social pedagogy, relationship-based practice, playwork, and community work as methodologies.
