This professionally accredited course will equip you with a well-developed understanding of contemporary accounting issues, techniques, and practices. You will explore the theoretical principles of accounting theory and the issues and challenges faced by companies when applying them in modern-day business. Your course has six core modules and you will select one option module in semester two. You could choose to study forensic accounting, investment fund management, or financial decision analysis alongside your core modules. The course is open to anyone interested in professional accounting who would like to gain professional accounting exam exemptions and/or a master's qualification. You will have some experience in accounting and finance, either at an undergraduate level or through work experience in accounting, business, or management. On completion of this course, you will be able to apply for the following exemptions from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA): Accountant in Business, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Corporate and Business Law, and Performance Management. You will also be eligible to apply for the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Gateway examination.
