This course will give you the opportunity to focus on the international, voluntary, or criminal justice sectors, and develop knowledge and expertise in your chosen area of interest. On completion, you will have the skill set to work across the criminal justice sector such as youth justice, police, and prison system, visa and immigration office, victim support and crime prevention; or the voluntary sector and non-governmental organizations in roles related to issues such as wide as rehabilitation of offenders, domestic violence, homelessness, services for refugees. You could also choose to pursue a career in fraud and investigations in the private sector and jobs at international institutions dealing with security, crime, and post-war transitional justice. You will be primed for roles such as police officer, prison officer, probation officer, community worker, crime reporter, and immigration officer.

Applicants should either have at least a second class honors degree in the cognate subjects of Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care, Humanities combined awards, English Literature, Politics, Economics, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Human Geography, History, Business Studies, Criminology, Journalism, Media Studies, Anthropology, Education Studies, Peace Studies, European Studies, International Political Economy, Social Work, Law or Youth & Community Studies, at least a second class honors degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
