Obesity, alcoholism, and mental health problems are just some examples of the major health challenges affecting society today. This course will prepare you for a career in public health and health improvement, helping people to lead healthier lives and live longer. You will develop theoretical and practical skills throughout the course and will combine your academic study with a flexible work placement so that you are prepared for working in a range of health roles on graduating. By blending theory and practical work, you will gain the expertise required to address health inequalities and to face the challenges of working in public health and health promotion. Your learning will be guided by our public health academics who are engaged in the latest research to ensure your course is up to date, contemporary and relevant.
