Course Overview

This course has strong links with employers, including BBC Yorkshire and JPI Media, publishers of Yorkshire Post, and the Yorkshire Evening Post. Your learning will be supported by employers throughout the academic year, who will offer the opportunity to work on a series of live briefs. In recent years this has included social media and photography for the Radio Academys ARIAS awards and content production for Latitude and Deer Shed festivals. You will also have opportunities to meet journalists, content creators, and publishers from the industry through guest lectures and workshops. Recently, this has included the award-winning conflict photographer Sean Sutton, photographer Marc Langley whose work has appeared in National Geographic, Russ Ellis from Team Sky and Ineos, and journalist and publishing director Rob Orchard.
