Diagnostic Radiography with Foundation Year - BSc (Hons)

The Diagnostic Radiography course at Birmingham City University provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a qualified diagnostic radiographer. The foundation year is designed to help students develop the academic and practical skills required for success in the course, including anatomy, physiology, and radiation protection. Upon completion of the foundation year, students will progress to the three-year honours degree component of the course, where they will gain hands-on experience in radiography through clinical placements and learn how to interpret images using state-of-the-art equipment. Graduates of this course will be eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a diagnostic radiographer.

So although you are studying a BSc in a specific course €“ BSc Diagnostic Radiography €“ the foundation year sets you up for a number of other possible degrees starting the following year. It may be that you dont end up doing a degree in precisely the same subject as your foundation year.
