Course Overview

The Pre-Masters Programme in Business, Media and Social Sciences provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex.

You can choose one of four pathways, based on your intended progression degree:

• Business, Management and Finance

• Law, International Relations and Social Sciences

• Film and Media

• Fintech (two semesters only)

On all pathways you will study a combination of general and specialist modules to improve your knowledge and skills to prepare you for postgraduate study. You will also study our Skills for Success module to provide you with the employability skills needed to succeed in your career.

General Eligibility

• Academic: Please see the country-specific qualifications in the table below

• Age: 20 years of age, or above

• Nationality: Only available to international (non-UK and non-EU students)

• Additional requirements: MSc in International Finance, MSc in Management Finance or MSc in Corporate and Financial Risk Management postgraduate degrees require students to have studied maths and/or a numerate discipline throughout their degree studies with a Grade C or above, or have a good pass - Grade C - at Maths at AS Level or equivalent

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• One semester course: Academic IELTS for UKVI 6.0 overall (minimum 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in all other bands)

  Two-semester course: Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.5 (minimum 5.5 in all other bands)
