Course Overview
Our BA Business Management with Hospitality top-up course provides you with a broad foundation in business. It helps you develop skills across several business disciplines to complement your previous studies and prepare for a business career.
You will also have the opportunity to complement your studies with a deeper understanding of the nature and context of hospitality.
This top-up course is delivered entirely online (part-time), meaning you can study at a pace and place that suits you. It mainly aims at those with a broad business-related HND, associate degree, or equivalent.
You can pay for this course flexibly on a module-by-module basis. So you don't have to pay the full course cost upfront.
Upon completing the course, you'll be well-placed to seek employment with a range of private, public, and third-sector employers.
General Eligibility
Our entry requirements indicate the minimum qualifications with which we usually accept students. Competition for places varies yearly, and you aren't guaranteed a business if you meet the minimum qualifications.
Minimum year 3
240 SCQF credits/120 ECTS credits at SCQF Level 8 or equivalent in an appropriate business and management subject area (i.e., basic understanding of principles in financial accounting, marketing, and operations).
Entry to the specialisms: You will also be required to demonstrate that you have the appropriate level of subject-specific underpinning in Marketing, Human Resource Management, Hospitality, or Finance to facilitate entry to the top-up degree (a minimum of 60 credits at SCQF level 7 or above, or equivalent)
Mature applicants who do not meet the standard entry requirements will be considered on a case-by-case basis taking into account RPL as appropriate.
