Course Overview

Military History is more than just battle tactics.

You will take a varied journey through the past, from Roman times to the 20th century. This will feature operational military history – including campaigns, generalship, and weaponry. However, as the renowned 19th-century German military theoretician Carl von Clausewitz argued, "War is not an independent phenomenon".

We are here to help you plan your future, make the most of your time at University, and to enhance your employability. We provide access to part-time jobs, and extra-curricular employability-enhancing workshops and offer practical one-to-one help with career planning, including help with CVs, applications, and mock interviews. We also deliver group sessions on career planning within each course and we have a wide range of extensive information covering graduate jobs and postgraduate study.

Students and graduates of the University of Chester can use our services free of charge for up to two years after graduating.

General Eligibility

A 2:2 honors degree in any relevant discipline or equivalent qualification is required.

While applicants will normally have 2:2 in a related subject, we do welcome strong applications from those with wider backgrounds and experiences.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
