MA Education, Inclusion and Special Needs

... United Kingdom
... University of Hull

Course Overview

This specialist education pathway investigates the complexities around the concept of inclusion. The study is focused on those who might experience marginalisation in society, particularly in educational contexts.

There is a strong emphasis on finding ways to develop inclusive curricula to meet the needs of all learners, including, for example, those defined as having special educational needs, travellers, those from challenging backgrounds and ethnic minorities.

MA in Education, Inclusion and Special Needs can be studied for one year full-time or two years part-time.

General Eligibility

Applicants should hold a minimum of 2.2 Honours degree (or international equivalent). We still welcome your application if your degree is not in a related subject area.

This degree is for anyone interested in Education in its broadest sense; it will not qualify you to teach.

To ensure our students have a rich learning and student experience, most of our programmes have a mix of domestic and international students. We reserve the right to close applications early to either group if application volumes suggest this blend cannot be achieved. In addition, existing undergraduate students at the University of Hull have a guaranteed ‘Fast Track’ route to any postgraduate programme, subject to meeting the entry criteria (excluding Social Work).
