Course Overview
The Bachelor in Nursing at Philips University is a four-year undergraduate programme that prepares students for professional nursing practice in hospitals, community healthcare, rehabilitation centres, and other clinical settings. The course combines scientific knowledge, practical training, and clinical experience to help students develop the skills required to provide safe, patient-centred care across different healthcare environments.
The curriculum covers anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, medical and surgical nursing, mental health nursing, child health nursing, maternal care, community nursing, nursing research, ethics, healthcare management, and evidence-based practice. Students spend a significant part of the programme in supervised clinical placements, where they work with healthcare professionals and gain direct experience in patient care. Laboratory sessions and simulation-based training help students practise clinical procedures before entering healthcare settings.
The programme follows the standards of the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA) and meets the requirements for nursing education in Cyprus. Philips University welcomes students from different countries, creating an international learning environment that supports cultural awareness and professional development. Students benefit from experienced academic staff, modern nursing laboratories, clinical partnerships, digital learning resources, and academic support throughout their studies.
