Computing is one of the fastest-developing subject areas in secondary education. Computing skills quickly become integral to success in the modern world, where technology is developing rapidly. The course offers a wide spread of university and school-based learning experiences to ensure students are well-equipped to enter the teaching profession.

Degree requirements
An ordinary degree or international equivalent.
Degree must include:
At least 80 SCQF credits in computing. 40 of these SCQF credits should come from at least two of the following subjects:
computer systems
software development
databases
web design
The other 40 SCQF credits are required in any computing area relevant to the computing curriculum in Scotland.
Maths & English
Higher (SCQF Level 6) English Grade C or above.
National 5 (SCQF Level 5) Mathematics Grade C or above.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.5 (no individual test score below 5.5)
