We are currently reviewing modules that provide opportunities to work with the industry to gain real experience. Modules will be updated in due course. From hazards, vulnerability, and human-made disaster, to environmental sustainability and community resilience, this globally-focused course explores real-world problems and how to conceptualize and address them. You will learn how to prepare for, and respond in, a crisis. You will develop the planning skills to help minimize impact and avert problems where possible. You will develop advanced knowledge, project management, and analytical skills whilst developing a specialism in an area of your choice. In the second year, for one semester you will have the chance to undertake an Advanced Practice placement/study in another country or join a research group. This valuable experience will enhance your employment opportunities and further develop your theoretical and practical skills.
A minimum of a 2:2 honors degree in any subject. Other subject qualifications, equivalent professional qualifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
International applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent*).
