Course Overview

A degree in Spanish develops an impressive range of skills including strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to work autonomously and in groups, analytical and critical discernment, and the resilience and confidence developed during placements abroad. Graduates often pursue further study or careers in translation, teaching, business, hospitality, the public sector, and governmental or international organizations.

We are here to help you plan your future, make the most of your time at University, and to enhance your employability. We provide access to part-time jobs, and extra-curricular employability-enhancing workshops and offer practical one-to-one help with career planning, including help with CVs, applications, and mock interviews. We also deliver group sessions on career planning within each course and we have a wide range of extensive information covering graduate jobs and postgraduate study.

Students and graduates of the University of Chester can use our services free of charge for up to two years after graduating.

112 UCAS points from GCE A Levels or equivalent including A Level Spanish. Typical offer - BCC/BBC

BTEC:

BTEC Extended Diploma: Distinction/Merit profile plus A Level Spanish

BTEC Level 3 Diploma: Distinction/Merit profile plus A Level Spanish

Irish/Scottish Highers:

Irish Highers - H3, H3, H3, H3, H4 including H3 in Spanish

Scottish Highers - BBBB including Spanish

International Baccalaureate:

26 points including 5 in HL Spanish

Access requirements:

Access to HE Diploma, to include 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Merit (of these, 15 must be in Spanish)

OCR:

OCR National Extended Diploma: Distinction/Merit profile including A-Level Spanish

Extra Information / General Entry Requirements:

Please note that we will accept a maximum of 8 UCAS points from GCE AS Levels and that the Welsh Baccalaureate (core) and A Level General Studies will be recognized in our offer. We will also consider a combination of A Levels and BTECs/OCRs.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
