BSc (Hons) Cyber Security

Course Overview

Bath Spa University’s Cyber Security degree approaches cybersecurity from a holistic point of view – helping you to understand cybersecurity from multiple perspectives. By highlighting key principles such as ‘defence in depth’ and by drawing on national-level cyber frameworks and guidelines, we introduce you to a complete picture of the intentions, motivations and scope of the cyber security sector.

Across the course, you’ll develop knowledge and practical skills that support the protection of systems, networks and data on a variety of levels (such as individual, business, and critical national infrastructure) – all supported by a sound understanding of computing principles.

You'll explore planning methods and tools, learn cybersecurity policies and law, investigate strategies of defence and offence, and gain an appreciation for human behaviours and needs.

General Eligibility

• Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

• A Level – Grades BCC

• Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

• Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

• Copy of latest school credentials

• Passport copy

• Emirates ID (if any)

• Visa Page Copy

• Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

• A recognized post-secondary course.

• University preparation (foundation) studies.

• One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• IELTS (Academic) test results with an overall score of 6.0, a minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
