Course Overview

This degree provides a pathway to becoming a Chartered Engineer and focuses on the design and operation of fixed and floating structures that service the offshore energy industry. You'll gain knowledge of key engineering skills that offshore engineers apply to industry-specific problems and use to design the latest technologies for application in shallow and deep-water ocean environments. Youll learn from research-active professors from across the globe, bringing their cutting-edge ideas into the classroom. You'll also benefit from using our specialist facilities. After learning the fundamentals of marine technology, you'll move on to specialist offshore engineering modules such as: offshore design marine structures offshore engineering You'll gain the ability to design and produce fixed and floating offshore oil and gas production installations, and the crafts which service them.
