This four-year Linguistics with German degree concentrates on developing your understanding of how we communicate, and the growth of language in the brain. You'll explore linguistics in the context of English and German language. You'll focus on the structure, history and social aspects of the English language and language in general, building a foundation of skills and knowledge to pursue many career paths. You will be able to apply your linguistics learning, knowledge and skills to strengthen your fluency of German, from beginner, intermediate or advanced level. In your third year, you'll immerse yourself in German culture as you spend the year in a German-speaking country to help further improve your language skills and confidence.
A Level: AAA-ABB IB: 34-36 points
Applicants whose first language is not English require a minimum score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent with no less than 5.5 in each of the four elements of the test.
