Course Overview

Gain a thorough understanding of the UK’s political system. Then apply it to the real world during a unique 12-month placement in Westminster working for a Member of Parliament or a peer, where you’ll get in-depth exposure to British parliamentary procedures and behaviors.

So many of them now work in Westminster that they’ve become affectionately known as ‘the Hull Mafia’.

General Eligibility

Points can be from any qualification on the UCAS tariff but must include at least 80 points from

  • A levels

  • BTEC Subsidiary Diploma, Diploma, or Extended Diploma

  • OCR Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma, Diploma, or Extended Diploma

  • CACHE Diploma or Extended Diploma

  • Irish Leaving Certificate

  • Scottish Highers

  • Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma

  • or a combination of appropriate Level 3 qualifications

Alternative qualifications

  • IB Diploma: 32 points

  • Pass Access to HE Diploma overall with a minimum of 128 UCAS tariff points.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • IELTS 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each skill.
