Financial markets are becoming ever more innovative and dynamic, with the growth of financial technology, or Fintech, helping to accelerate that change. Studying this course should help prepare you for a career in Fintech, or provide you with the knowledge needed to operate effectively in other financial sectors being disrupted by technology. With a focus on the practical application of theory, this course seeks to develop the skills needed by the modern finance graduate, offering a grounding in financial theories coupled with developing the digital fluency needed to apply them to the rapidly changing finance sector. So, alongside developing and expanding your knowledge in key theories such as asset pricing or corporate governance, the course also focuses on financial technology, big data analytics, and the management of risk in digital environments
The course is subject to the general University admission procedures and access policies. To be accepted for the course students must possess either an Honours undergraduate degree (minimum of 2:2) in an appropriate business, finance, or computing background or appropriate work experience in the financial sector together with relevant professional qualifications.
This course requires an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5. Pre-sessional English is available if required.
