The Computer Hardware and Software Engineering BEng (Hons) course at Coventry University aims to bridge the gap between electronics and software engineering knowledge. According to Prospects, skills shortages in key areas of the UKs digital economy have led to a demand for software and hardware engineers. This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle challenges involved in the development of future technologies such as IoT, smart cities, autonomous cars, and green technologies. Successful graduates of the course should be able to solve both electronics and software-related problems in areas such as electronic engineering, embedded systems, computer architecture and security, programming, mobile app development, machine learning, FPGA-based design, and system-on-chip design.
