Globalization has led to a growing demand for commercial lawyers with an understanding of international law. This practice-based course meets this need while increasing your expertise in the area of international and cross-border commercial conflicts and disputes.
This LLM is designed for those with an LLB/Joint Law degree (or a degree with adequate legal content) who wish to develop their practice in this challenging field. The course is primarily concerned with the regulation of individual, corporate, and public conduct in international and cross-border commercial conflicts and disputes. You also study the origins and causes of these conflicts and disputes, exploring how they might be prevented, managed, and resolved.
The course adopts a practice-based, client-facing approach, underpinned by a strong grounding in legal theory. Problem-based learning plays a key role, with many seminars and assignments centered on simulated real-life scenarios.
Applicants should have a good undergraduate degree at the Honours level or equivalent.
To apply for a postgraduate degree (MA/MSc/MBA/LLM) at the University of Bedfordshire you should have a good honors degree (or equivalent qualification) in an appropriate subject from a recognized university or HE institution.
We will also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications or appropriate work experience.
