As a Physiotherapist you can help people affected by illness, injury or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. Youll take a €˜whole person approach to health €“ fully involving patients in their own care through education, awareness and empowerment. On this hands-on course youll study the core areas of physiotherapy and apply them to clinical situations. These include clinical placements in a variety of NHS and private settings to help you prepare for your future career as a Physiotherapist. Youll also build up valuable experience in supporting long-term condition management programmes and a musculoskeletal clinic at the university or in a local clinic. Youll use state-of-the-art facilities €“ treatment rooms, rehabilitation space, a hospital ward, a skills laboratory, a biomechanics laboratory, physiology laboratories, a strength and conditioning suite, fitness suite and a simulated €˜home environment.
You will have completed an honours degree in the last five years, achieving a 2:1 or 1st class award or be predicted to achieve this grade if nearing the completion of a relevant degree programme. Your previous degree should be in biological sciences, sports science / therapy, or a healthcare course with significant anatomy and physiology components.
GCSE English Language and Mathematics at grade 4 (C) or above, or an equivalent qualification.

If English is not your first language, you are required to provide a language test certificate as evidence of proficiency. This needs to be at Academic IELTS at 7.0 with no element below 6.5 in all sections of the test.
