Explore the fundamental principles of law in England and Wales on a law degree designed to enable prospective lawyers to obtain the legal knowledge, skills and attributes needed to pursue a career in law, aligned with the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board Common Protocol.
You’ll take part in engaging and stimulating teaching through our interactive and challenging teaching sessions. You’ll gain knowledge and skills in key areas such as legal methods, constitutional law, criminal law and property law. You can also specialise in a range of subjects including family law, company law, intellectual property law and human rights depending on your area of interest.

Through lectures, seminars and group work, you’ll put your learning to the test in class debates and mooting sessions. You’ll learn how to argue a case effectively in court, interview clients and negotiate agreements, benefitting from simulated trials and tribunals in our Moot Court Room. You can also take part in both internal and external mooting competitions and become part of our successful alumni of previous winners
You could spend a year on placement through the four year sandwich course option. You can also gain work experience throughout your studies, for example as a result of our collaboration with a local law firm on our Family Law module.
Put your theory into practice by advising real life clients as part of our assessed Law Clinic. You’ll have the opportunity to shadow a solicitor offering legal advice. All focused on perfectly preparing you for when you graduate.

English Language or Literature and Maths Grade 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) are normally required.
