This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of zoology and conservation. Students will learn about the biology and behavior of animals, as well as the factors that influence their distribution, abundance, and extinction. The course will also cover the principles and practices of conservation biology, including habitat restoration, species reintroduction, and sustainable resource management. Through a combination of lectures, fieldwork, and laboratory work, students will gain hands-on experience in the identification and management of conservation issues.
Students who complete this course are well-prepared for careers in zoology, conservation biology, wildlife management, and related fields. The course is also an excellent foundation for further graduate study in these areas.

The 20 hours is total hours. It is not per job. If you hold multiple part-time jobs then the total hours of all the work you are doing added together.
On this course you are required to take 120 credits each year made up of lectures, practicals, and interactive exercises, as well as field trips and tutorials in years 1 and 2. If at the end of Year 2 you have achieved a sufficient standard, then you will be invited to progress onto the Masters year (MZool) following completion of Year 3.The final year will include a research project, which is supervised by a member of staff on a relevant subject that interests you. Modules become more specialised as the degree progresses and the number of compulsory modules varies between years. Assessment is by a mixture of formal examination and continuous assessment. Welsh medium modules are also available.

If you do not meet the English Language requirements to enter the International Incorporated Bachelors or the International Incorporated Masters, BUIC offers you a range of Pre-sessional English Programmes which you can take before you start these courses.
If you have an IELTS of 5.0 (with no component below 4.5), you will be offered a 6-week Pre-sessional English course immediately preceding your entry to the IYZ.
If you have an IELTS of 4.5 (with no component below 4.0), you will be offered a 12-week Pre-Sessional English course immediately preceding your entry to the IYZ.
