Course Overview

Study social, cultural, and political history, with a particular focus on Scotland and its place in the world, combined with the study of French Study French while also discovering the history of the Highlands and Islands and early Scottish politics, researching original manuscripts from the 1600s, and critically analysing Scottish involvement in the transatlantic slave trade. You can also explore the relationship between Scottish and British nationalisms from 1707 to the present day.
