BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing

Course Overview

At Hull, we don't just teach the theory. We go beyond the classroom, in simulated operating theatres, hospital wards, and intensive care facilities, as well as on clinical placements.

You’ll learn to provide care to a range of adults – of different ages and with different health needs – and gain an extra dimension to your nursing experience.

You'll gain the skills, experience, and support to become a confident and compassionate professional health practitioner. On graduation, you'll be able to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a qualified registered nurse.

General Eligibility

112 Tariff Points from three A Levels (or appropriate Level 3 qualifications e.g., BTEC Subsidiary Diploma)

• GCSE: English, Maths, and Science in Grade 4 or C or above

Alternative qualifications

• IB Diploma: 28 points.

• BTEC L3 Extended Diploma: DMM in a relevant subject(s).

• Pass Access to HE Diploma overall with a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points in Health and Social Care or a Health-related subject.

• Alternative Maths – Functional Skills L2 Maths

• Alternative science – BTEC First Diploma – Pass

• University of Hull Certificate in Practice Skills for Health and Social Care (60 credits at Level 4 in appropriate subjects)

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• IELTS 7.0 overall, with at least 6.5 in the writing section and at least 7.0 in the reading, listening, and speaking sections.
