BM (Hons) Midwifery

The BM (Hons) Midwifery program at Bangor University is a comprehensive and innovative course that provides students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to become a competent and compassionate midwife. The program covers all aspects of midwifery practice, including antenatal, postnatal, and neonatal care, as well as breastfeeding and newborn care. Students will learn from experienced lecturers and practitioners in state-of-the-art facilities, and benefit from hands-on training in our on-campus midwifery clinic. Graduates of the program will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and pursue a rewarding career in midwifery.

The BM (Hons) Midwifery program at Bangor University is accredited by the NMC, which means that graduates are eligible to register with the organization and practice as a midwife in the UK. The program is also approved by the University and College Admissions Service (UCAS), which makes it easier for students to apply and gain admission. Students will have access to a range of support services, including academic and career guidance, mental health support, and financial assistance. The program starts in September each year and lasts for three years, consisting of 360 credits.
