Course Overview

Expand your knowledge of the design, analysis, and manufacturing processes of producing effective and safe pharmaceutical products by developing scientific reasoning, problem-solving skills, quality assurance, and quality control. Youll develop a wider knowledge of the integral parts of the pharmaceutical industry including research, development, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, and sales. You'll also focus on your research skills; understanding how research informs quality practice judgments. We have a collaborative team of research-active academic staff and industry specialists. Youll also benefit from our close working relationship with the Clinical Trials Unit who are experts in regulation, licensing, and regulatory affairs. The industry is always developing, which is why well challenge you to debate contemporary or difficult topics and solutions such as drug safety, ethical issues, the readiness of potential drugs for a clinical trial in humans, and pharmacovigilance. Your career is constantly at the forefront of our agenda, which is why we focus on real-life employability skills. Youll become confident in proposal writing, grant application, and creating papers for publication while benefiting from innovative teaching techniques including role play and interviewing.

General Eligibility

A 1st or 2nd class degree from a UK university (or its equivalent) in chemistry, pharmacy, pharmaceutical science, biomedical science, biology, or a related subject. Qualifications or experience deemed to be equivalent to a 1st or 2nd class degree may be considered.

  • If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 ( Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
