MSc Clinical Child Psychology

The MSc Clinical Child Psychology program at ARU College (Navitas) is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of child psychology and the practical skills needed to work in this field. The program covers a range of topics, including child development, cognitive and social psychology, and therapeutic interventions for children and families. Students will gain hands-on experience through practicum placements and learn from experienced faculty who are experts in their fields. Upon completion of the program, students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue careers as clinical child psychologists or work in related fields.

The MSc Clinical Child Psychology program at ARU College (Navitas) is a 12-month program that consists of 3 trimesters. Each trimester is 4 months long, with a total of 16 months of study. The program starts in September and ends in July of the following year.

Psychology and the exploration of the mind have been discussed for millennia, although its still young as a practice. This course will help you develop a scientific understanding of the different perspectives and theoretical approaches within the core areas of psychology, and the relations between them. Youll learn how psychology is influenced by many different factors. Through our modules, youll see how physiology can influence someone, with the way our bodies react to the chemicals they create, the impact of external influences, like society, how different languages change the way you look at the world, and the importance of childhood development. Youll also learn how to design research projects, from the first idea through to how to make it work, explore different research methods, and gain the skills to manage a project ethically and professionally. Youll design and conduct your own research project, and acquire all the skills required by the British Psychological Society (BPS) to register with them as a graduate member (in order to be eligible to register you will need an overall pass mark of 50% in your degree).

A first degree, with honors, at a minimum final classification of Lower Second (2:2) or equivalent.
