Course Overview

The 120 credit hour Bachelor of Arts degree in Music students study music from a broad historical, performative, and theoretical perspective.

Music majors wanting to become certified K-12 music teachers will double major in Music and Education, B.S. The Education major cannot be taken alone; students must major in Music. Avila University’s School of Education offers teacher certification in vocal music and instrumental music.
