Access to HE in Education is a specialist program that offers the opportunity to study a broad spectrum of teaching and education-related fields. All our Access to HE qualifications establish the foundations for further study and provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in your chosen field.
The Access to HE course in Education (Primary and Secondary Education) consists of 13 mandatory units for the secondary education pathway, which equate to 60 credits in total, and 13 modules for the primary education pathway, which also equates to 60 credits.
On both pathways, students will undertake two ungraded units. There are no optional units on the proposed course, but there is still a good balance and difference between the teams and different pathways.
Students must have GCSE English Language at least Grade C/4 to enroll in this course and GCSE Maths at Grade C/4. In addition, a GCSE Science qualification at Grade C/4 or a Level 2 equivalent qualification in a related subject is required for this course. The application form asks for previous academic qualifications, and the interviewer must be satisfied that the candidate has sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to cope with the course requirements and the written components.
