Course Overview

At ARU we work with employers to make sure you graduate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need. They help us review what we teach and how we teach it and they offer hands-on, practical opportunities to learn through work-based projects, internships, or placements. Our BA (Hons) Film degree will help you prepare for a career in many films and cinema-related roles, including film and television production or post-production, journalism, screenwriting, programming and curation, festival management, and public relations.

General Eligibility

UK 5 GCSE passes at grade 3 or above (for GCSE's taken prior to 2017 a grade E will be accepted) plus evidence of having attempted two years of post GCSE study. 19 points for International Baccalaureate. (EU & International nationals ONLY): 40. UCAS Tariff points at A/AS level. For A levels taken prior to 2017, the requirement is 100 tariff points. 22 points for International Baccalaureate.

  • The English requirement for all ARU College courses is an IELTS overall score of 5.5 (with at least 5.5 in each of the four components).
